Farming with an Axe
Well I recently gave up Swords for Axes... And now that I want to do more solo farming, it doesn't seem like I can get a well-rounded axe build for this purpose. So am I dead in the water, or am I just being impatient and overlooking a build? I was particularly looking to farm in, and outside, of Sorrow's Furnace. I'm a W/Mo, and I'm willing to spend the money on the necessary skills runes, what can I do with my axe? Also, if necessary, I can head to Senji's corner and change my secondary if that's necessary for the build that i'll need to get the job done ;-)

between the silence and the fact that the best skills require a sword, i'm going to assume i should save my axe for PVP and go out and grab my old victo blade because my last was cheap Then I'll go grab the ripostes and all that crap, thank you for explaining what I really needed to do all along in silence When I say best skills I mean for PVE soloing

yea axe has some of the most bland pve skills, bout only skill that will do much for axe's case is Cyclone Axe, which only builds adren if enough crap is surrroudning you, lol i dunno, might wanna look into sword for pvp too lol, Final Thrust, Hamstring go a long way, i hit a tank when he was just a inch below 50% health and did a 121 critical, and 218 on one that was using frenzy lol, and a skill that can instanly cripple someone without using a deepwounding skill before it is pretty handy too, but to tell you the truth i found hammer the most effective for pvp, so i went pvp hammer, pve sword

ya i have to agree. new to axes also. i can't seem to make a good soloing pve build. it's weird to use a sword for all this time and then try to use an axe for soloing.

It just depends on where you want to solo. Gotta give more details for a more informed answer.
So for example one of my standard runs is Witmans Folly. I'll take SoJ, dolyak, watch yourself, cyclone axe, mending, balthazars spirit, and uh.. two regen/heals (i'm at work, sorry). 12 smiting, 8 healing, 12 str and the rest in tactics/axe. (sup vigor, sup absorb, str helm, etc) I can take out everything but the bosses with this build, which is a lot of Grawl all said and done.
So whatcha wanna do? =)
